Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the section "Information on the Responsible Party" in this privacy policy or in the Legal Notice (Impressum).

How do we collect your data?

On one hand, your data is collected when you communicate it to us. This could, for example, be data you enter in a registration form (like username and email). Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, or page access time).

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data can be used to analyze your user behavior (such as matches analyzed).

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have a right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. You also have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances, and you can export your data in a structured format directly from your profile settings.

3. Data Collection and Processing

User Accounts & Registration

If you create an account, we process the credentials you provide (your chosen username and optional email address) as well as your hashed password.

  • Purpose: User authentication, allowing you to create replay collections and manage analyzer history.
  • Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (necessary for the performance of a contract / user agreement).
  • Storage Duration: Until you delete your account. You can permanently delete your account at any time via the "Settings" tab in your profile.
Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the page previously visited)
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

  • Purpose: Technical security, preventing abuse, rate limiting, and troubleshooting server issues.
  • Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests of the website operator to maintain a secure and functional website).
  • Storage Duration: These logs are stored temporarily for security purposes and deleted after 30 to 90 days.
Pokémon Showdown Replay Cache

When you download and analyze a public Pokémon Showdown replay, we download the log data from Pokémon Showdown, save a copy on our server, and cache the analysis results in our database.

  • Purpose: Performance efficiency, caching analysis results, and avoiding spamming Pokémon Showdown servers.
  • Legal Basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest to offer fast, cached statistics for public game matches).
  • Storage Duration: Capped at the lifetime of the account, or until manually deleted. You can delete specific replays or collections at any time, which deletes the corresponding cached file on the server.
